The Row by Row Experiment & More About What is Lost in the Field
Friday, December 6th, 10:15 AM, Classroom 303
The Society of St. Andrew (SoSA) is a gleaning organization that gathers food that may otherwise go to waste and shares it with other nonprofits that feed hungry people. After participating for some years in the movement to reduce food loss & waste, and because food loss at the farm level is primarily estimated, Regional Director Jeannie Hunter partnered with TDEC and the EPA to conduct field measurements. Hear the results of these measurements and what this information could mean for your farm and your community.
