As the CEO of Tree-Range Farms and founder of the Regenerative Agriculture Alliance, Regi has designed and continues to build the vision and business goals associated with the Regenerative Poultry movement. He is focused on creating a collective governance structure to ensure the ecosystem’s social, economic and ecological criteria remain intact as it grows in scope and scale. Regi holds degrees in Agronomy and Agricultural Economics from the Central National School of Agriculture in Guatemala; and business management from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN.
Reginaldo Haslett-Marroquin began working on economic development projects with indigenous Guatemalan communities in 1988. He served as a consultant for the United Nations Development Program’s Bureau for Latin America and as an advisor to the World Council of Indigenous Peoples. He was a founding member of the Fair-Trade Federation in 1994. Regi was awarded a prestigious lifetime Ashoka Fellowship in 2018 for his work in Regenerative Poultry Systems. Author of, “In the Shadow of Green Man: My Journey from Poverty and Hunger and Food Sovereignty and Hope,” Regi is committed to indigenous design practices and healing relationships as part of the natural ecosystem on which we depend. If you ask Regi what his dream is, it is to farm. Along with his wife Amy, he is currently developing Salvatierra Farm; a 65-acre piece of land in Northfield, MN to serve as a place to learn and experience the firsthand beauty of the regenerative poultry production system and host community events.
