Christy Bartee

Attorney, Batson Nolan PLC

Preserving Tennessee Farmland: Strategies for Land Access and Transfer, Saturday, December 7th, 3:15 PM, Room 303

Christy began practicing law in her hometown of Springfield at the Law Offices of Larry D. Wilks focusing in the areas of Real Estate Law, Contract Law, Estate Planning, Probate, and Social Security Disability. She enjoyed and excelled in these practice areas, but also felt a calling to return to her roots, and agricultural law. After years of developing her practice in the area, she realized her expertise could help those in the business of agriculture.

“I realized as an adult that agriculture was the lifeblood of our community,” said Christy. “In agricultural law, I could work with farmers and other businesses in the ag community to navigate business and personal issues that are concerning and jeopardize agriculture.”

“I believe it is important to give back to our community,” says Christy. “I am focused on working with the youth to build strong leaders.” She and her husband, John, coach the 4-H livestock judging team for Robertson County, and she helps coordinate an Educational Series for the Montgomery County Area Better Beef Show. Christy is also a very active 4-H volunteer.
