This class demystifies the TN General Assembly for beginner advocates and nonprofits. It will cover the basics of how the TN legislature operates, how a bill moves through committees, the software and tools advocates use to monitor bills, the tools I have built, who is the TN Farm Bureau, how TDA, and how TDH can and cannot influence policy. It will also include a map of Capitol Hill, including how to enter Cordell Hull, where to park downtown, which floors to access, etc. The participatory part of this piece is that every single class attendee will learn how to find their representatives.
