Rooted East Knoxville & The Art of Ujima: Collective Work & Responsibility

Since moving to Knoxville two years ago, Tom has been engaged in mutual aid in East Knoxville, with a focus of distributing food to families. He believes that the availability of healthy food is a fundamental right and that community-based food systems are most resilient. Tom looks to apply his background in plant, soil, and data science to urban agriculture to support the soon-to-be flourishing garden beds in East Knoxville.
