AgLaunch, the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center (KEC), and other partners throughout the region are hosting a Value Ag Virtual Bootcamp in January and February 2024. A few more spots are available before the cohort starts on January 8th. We are seeking to reach farms and value-added ag enterprises throughout the Southern Appalachian region (KY, TN, VA, NC, SC, AL, and GA). Registration closes when the class reaches capacity or by Sun., Jan. 7th, whichever comes first.
This intimate cohort will learn from each other and experts in the field from organizations like the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center, UT Center for Profitable Agriculture, Kentucky Center for Agriculture and Rural Development (KCARD), and the Proof Food & Beverage Incubator, farmers who have received USDA VAPG awards, and others. Participants will also have a rare chance to speak directly with grant analysts out of Washington DC who will discuss the USDA Value-Added Producer Grant (VAPG) and be available to answer questions about other USDA grant programs.
As an added benefit, Tennessee participants are eligible to receive one TAEP educational requirement for agritourism, Fruit & Vegetable, and/or Value-Added Product sectors upcon completion of all five sessions.
